      Health and Wellness Center

      We aim to create an environment that promotes student fulfillment and growth. Health and Wellness integrate mind, body, and spirit into a seamless unit. We are on a mission to maximize healthy by promoting behaviors to minimize unhealthy choices during our students’ college experience and beyond. 

      These are the three (3) main health & wellness resources available This unit is multi-dimensional and consists of three departments:

      AUCC Student Health and Wellness Center (SHWC)
      The Counseling Resources Center and Disability Services; and
      Recreation, Intramural, and Fitness.

      The Student Health and Wellness Center (SHWC) provides quality health care services to students of the Atlanta University Consortium Center. We are privileged to provide a variety of health and wellness-related services for our students, emphasizing a holistic approach to encourage growth physically, mentally, emotionally, academically, and socially.

      SHWC’s goal is to inspire students to empower themselves by being proactive in their health and wellbeing, to encourage students to believe in their capabilities academically and personally and to support them as they become all that they desire to be.

      Accessing the Patient Portal

      The Point and Click Patient Portal is an electronic medical system used by the Student Health and Wellness Center (SHWC). As a student of Morehouse College you have access to the online Point and Click Patient Portal.

      On the Patient Portal you may
      • Self-schedule appointments
      • Securely message a provider
      • Receive lab results
      • Update your medical history information

      Scheduling an appointment at the SHWC
      If you are sick or would like to schedule an appointment, this is the place where you should go for your healthcare needs! Scheduled appointments are highly preferred, however, if you have an urgent medical problem, a same day appointment may be available.  
      There are two ways to schedule an appointment at our clinic.
      1.     Book online on the Point and Click Patient Portal
      2.     Call our office at (404) 756-1241

      After-hours and Weekends
      When our clinic is closed there is always an on-call physician or nurse practitioner available for urgent medical needs.

      Student Counseling and Accessibility Services Center

      The Student Counseling and Accessibility Services Center, an office of the division of Student Services, supports the positive mental health of Morehouse students and facilitates accessibility services to students who meet the criteria for a disability under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The Center strives to provide the best quality of care in a confidential, safe, and supportive environment.

      Recreation, Intramural, and Fitness

      The Recreation, Intramural, and Fitness programs and activities offered are student-centered, comprehensive, and serve as a vehicle for co-curricular opportunities designed to enhance the quality of college life and foster individual, physical, mental, emotional, and social growth.

    • Summer Transition

      What You Need to Know

      Here is some important information as you transition to summer break:

      1) The AUCC-SHWC will not have extended hours during the summer. We will resume evening clinics on Mondays and Wednesdays until 8pm on August 19th.Our summer hours starting on May 8th will be: Monday – Friday 8am – 5 pm.

      ** Special dates: Clinic will be closed May 1st, May 27th, June 19th,and July 4th.


      2) If you are graduating this spring, you will no longer be eligible to receive healthcare services at the SHWC after May 31st. Please make sure you schedule any immunizations, physicals or other requirements for jobs or internships you may be completing after graduation before May 31st. Please note that routine examinations, including physicals, do tend to book out 1-1.5 weeks in advance so we
      will not likely be able to accommodate last-minute requests for routine or non-urgent visits.


      3) If you have personal medications, including allergy injections, stored at our clinic, please come to our clinic to pick up your medication before leaving for the summer. The SHWC does not ship any
      medications to students or other doctors’ offices if they are left here over the summer.
      4) Behavioral Health is not taking any new patient referrals at this time unless the student will be in Georgia over the summer. Students are expected to transition their care to their primary care provider in their home state over the summer. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis please reach out to your behavioral health clinic on your campus or call GCAL: 1-800-715-4225 or the National Suicide Crisis Lifeline: 988.
