Dr. Nathan Nobis, Associate Professor of Philosophy at Morehouse College, was recently featured on the website in a blog that features national experts debating the pros and cons of animal testing.

Dr. Nobis is an expert in ethics and philosophy. He is the author of the 2016 Open Philosophy Press book “Animals & Ethics 101: Thinking Critically About Animal Rights,” and has taught courses, given lectures, and published articles and chapters in books on a wide variety of topics concerning ethics and animals, bioethics, ethical theory, and related topics.

In his blog piece on, Dr. Nobis states:

“It’s now easy to see why animal testing is wrong; it violates basic principals of ethical research; it is maleficent, or harmful to the research subjects; it is not beneficial to them; it is forced on them since they don’t consent; and it is unjust in that animals are burdened with problems not their own.”
