Jim Lee Austin - Coach
As a well known business man in Metro Atlanta, Jim soon discovered his passion for fishing in 1974. Jim is one of the founders of the 1st predominately black fishing club, SABBA (Sportsman Association Black Bass Anglers). He was president of SABBA for 20 years. Jim Austin holds many fishing titles and records. He currently holds the record for catching the largest bass on Lake Oconee at 14lbs. In 2000 he became the first African American with a fishing series that aired on major TV networks like Fox Sports and Comcast Sports. Now this retired business man follows the love of his sport as a fishing coach and instructor at Morehouse College in hopes of teaching young men the love of fishing.
