Ruihua Shen Ph.D
Ruihua Shen, Professor of Chinese Language and Literature, received her Graduate Certificate in Women’s Studies (2001) and Ph.D. in Comparative Literature (2003) from the University of Oregon. Her research interests include women and literature, Chinese feminism, women’s autobiographical narrative and contemporary Chinese cinema. Dr. Shen is an essayist, memoirist, poet and translator.

Mark Levine holds an M.A., and M.Phil. in East Asian Languages and Literatures from Yale University, and he is working on his PhD dissertation in modern Chinese literature. He has many years of experience teaching Chinese language, literature, film, and society, and leading study abroad programs to China. His research interests include 20th-century literature and culture, Chinese language pedagogy, and memory studies.
