Herty Medalist Undergraduate Research Symposium

  • The 2019 Herty Medalist Undergraduate Research Symposium (HMURS) will be held on Friday, September 20, 2019 at Georgia Gwinnett College in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Please visit their website to register or for additional details (i.e. directions, parking).
  • The 2019 Herty Medalist is Prof. Lisa McElwee-White, Colonel Allan R. and Margaret G. Crow Professor and Chair of Chemistry in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Florida.
  • Registration for attendance at this event is OPEN and ongoing. As with previous years, there is no registration fee for HMURS.
  • Posters are encouraged and solicited from:
    • Undergraduate researchers in the Southeastern United States. Prizes will be awarded to top posters.
    • Chemistry programs and/or ACS student chapters. While these posters will not be eligible for the poster awards, HMURS is a great forum to attract students to graduate programs and to create networks with fellow undergraduate chemistry programs.
  • All undergraduates are encouraged to attend this event, even if they are not planning to present a poster. Please register nonetheless.
  • For more information concerning this event, including information and web forms for submitting an abstract, please visit the official HMURS website at GGC: https://commons.ggc.edu/hmurs/.
