Dear Prospective Student,
Morehouse College is pleased to announce its 2009 Pre-Freshman Summer Program (PSP).
PSP is a six-week academic and cultural enrichment program that offers pre-freshmen and rising 12th graders a challenging and rewarding experience on the historic campus of Morehouse College.
Special features of PSP include:
- Morehouse College freshman courses taught by Morehouse College professors and instructors
- Coursework in mathematics, English composition, world history, reading comprehension, and sociology
- Academic tutoring
- Study skills development
- Personal counseling
- Seminars with guest lecturers for a greater understanding of and appreciation for the plight of the African American male in the 21st Century
- Social and Recreational Activities (with other Summer Academy program participants at Morehouse and Spelman College)
- Sunday Morning Worship Services (student-centered, students on program)
- Introduction to the history and culture of Morehouse College and President Robert Michael Franklin’s vision: “Morehouse College Producing Renaissance Men with Social Conscience and Global Perspective”
Students who earn a grade of “B” or better in their academic
courses will have an opportunity to earn college credit upon successful
entry into the College.
The PSP program begins on Saturday, June 6, 2009, and ends on July 18, 2009. Students will reside on campus and dine in our cafeteria.
The cost of the PSP Program is $4,800.00. We invite you to apply today! Click here to download the PSP application. The PSP application along with a deposit of $2,400.00 is due by May 15, 2009.
