Brandon Lawrence
Brandon Lawrence serves as the Editor-in-Chief of The Maroon Tiger, a position he first held as a sophomore. Brandon is a Business Finance major from Fairburn, Georgia and has worked with the newspaper for three years. He previously served as a staff writer and advertising representative. Some of his favorite articles include "21st Century: Finanacial Awareness is the Key for Black America" and "Why Did it Have to Come to This?" After Morehouse, Brandon plans to work as an investment banking analyst on Wall Street and earn his MBA.
Travers Johnson
Travers Johnson serves as the Managing Editor for the 2007-2008 academic year. Travers is a senior English major from Quitman, Texas and previously served as the newspaper's Copy Editor. Out of the many articles he has written in his two years working with the paper, Travers says his favorite piece is the metaphorical editorial he wrote last year about the Morehouse "circus." After Morehouse, Travers plans to work for two years and then attend law school.
Edward Mitchell
Edward Mitchell serves as the Director of Operations for the 2007-2008 academic year. Edward is a junior Political Science major from Los Angeles, California and previously served as the News Editor. He has worked with the newspaper for three years and some of his favorite articles include his coverage of Morehouse's new president, Dr. Robert Franklin, and an investigative series about campus secret societies. After Morehouse, Edward plans to attend law school.
Nicolas C. Gowens
Nicholas C. Gowens serves as the Chief Layout Editor for the 2007-2008 academic year. Nicholas is a senior Business Finance major from Atlanta, Georgia, and has been working with The Maroon Tiger for over three years. He previously served as the Associate Layout Editor and his favorite work is an article titled “Women Want Dogs, But They Don’t Want Flies.” After Morehouse, Nicholas plans to obtain an MBA and start his own business.
Eric Baylor
Eric Baylor, II serves as the Copy Editor for the 2007-2008 academic year. Eric is a senior Spanish major from Birmingham, Alabama. He has worked with The Maroon Tiger for three years and previously served as the Associate Copy Editor. His favorite work is the Cryptic Corner article and after Morehouse, Eric plans to work as a teaching assistant and an American diplomat.
Marvin-Alonzo Greer
Marvin-Alonzo Greer serves as the Production Manager for the 2007-2008 academic year. A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Marvin majors in History and has worked with The Maroon Tiger for two years. He previously held the positions of Associate World & Local News Editor and Associate News Editor. One of his most well-known articles is a piece written in 2007 about the American slave trade. After Morehouse, Marvin hopes to work as an international news correspondent.
Robert A. Burns, II
Robert A. Burns, II serves as the Director of Public Relations for the 2007-2008 academic year. Robert is a sophomore English major from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and this is his first year working with The Maroon Tiger. He considers his best work to be the “International House” article and his Cornel West album review. After graduating from Morehouse, Robert plans to work for a major metropolitan newspaper.
Glen Easley
Glen Easley serves as the Advertising Manager for the 2007-2008 academic year. Glen is a junior Marketing major from Athens, Georgia, and previously worked as an advertising representative. After graduating from Morehouse, Glen plans to work as a consultant at a major marketing firm.
Marshall Gilson
Marshall Gilson serves as the Webmaster for the 2007-2008 academic year. Marshall is a junior Computer Science major from Rhode Island and this is his first year working with The Maroon Tiger.
Chad Sanders
Chad Sanders serves as the News Editor for the 2007-2008 academic year. Chad is a sophomore English major from Silver Spring, Maryland, and previously served as a staff writer for the News section of The Maroon Tiger. One of his most well-known articles is a piece written about the shooting of a student and the reaction of nearby security officers. After Morehouse, he plans to attend law school.
Kristin N. Mason
Kristin N. Mason serves as the Associate News Editor for the 2007-2008 academic year. Kristin is a sophomore English major at Spelman College, and previously served as a staff writer for the News section. Kristin’s favorite article is her 2007 piece on the Jena Six controversy. After graduating from Spelman, Kristin plans to work as a print journalist for Essence magazine or enter the field of broadcast journalism.
Michelle D. Anderson
Michelle D. Anderson serves as the Features editor for the 2007-2008 academic year. Michelle majors in English at Spelman College and has worked for The Maroon Tiger newspaper for ten months. She aspires to work as a staff reporter for a daily newspaper or a weekly alternative paper.
Anthony Harris
Anthony Harris serves as the Opinions Editor for the 2007-2008 academic year, a position he has previously held. Anthony is a senior English major and has worked for The Maroon Tiger for three years. Last semester, he wrote a widely read series of articles under the headline "The Student is Not the Client." When he leaves Morehouse, Anthony plans to attend graduate school.
Ansley Brown
Ansley Brown serves as the Associate Arts & Entertainment Editor for the 2007-2008 academic year. Ansley is a sophomore mass media arts major and this is her first year working with The Maroon Tiger. Her favorite article is the 80’s Baby piece and after Spelman, she plans to attend NYU or UCLA for graduate school and also study in Europe.
