Admissions policies are a part of the College Notice of Non-Discrimination:
“Applicants for admission are hereby notified that Morehouse College does not discriminate
in its student admissions and educational programs on the basis of race, color age,
religion, national origin, or handicap.”
Morehouse College publishes its admissions policies in the 2006-2008 Course Catalog. In the Morehouse mission statement found in the Catalog, it is indicated that:
"The College seeks students who are willing to carry the torch of excellence and who are
willing to pay the price of gaining strength and confidence by confronting adversity,
mastering their fears, and achieving success by earning it."
The Catalog specifically addresses the topic “Admission of Students” and includes information pertinent to various student admit types, including Early Admission, Admission on Probation, Joint Enrollment, Transfer Students, Re-Admission Students, Reinstated Student, International Students, and Transient and Exchange Students. (See Other Admission Categories.) Also included in admissions policies is information regarding how students may obtain credit by examination.
The Catalog also includes information regarding important next steps for students once they have received notification of acceptance.
Similar information regarding admissions policies is contained in Morehouse College student recruitment brochures and view books. Information from the Catalog and from student recruitment brochures is also available on the Morehouse Web site, www.morehouse.edu, under the heading "Admissions."
