Project Identity Saturday Institute is an enrichment program that provides academically talented African American school males grades fifth through eleventh with opportunities to learn and enjoy topics that they may not have been exposed to in their current academic settings. We offer innovative courses and activities focused on a variety of advance placement formatted topics that take students further than a standard school curriculum. Each individual program not only encourages participants to explore ideas and applications from different perspectives based on specific themes but foster an interest in learning.
The Saturday Institute introduces students to the advance placement courses in humanities, social sciences, mathematics and biology. Students will also learn about their community and the role the subject plays in society. Students participate in interactive activities, conduct hands-on experiments, and work closely with outstanding college instructors and student mentors.
Project Identity introduces participants and their families to educational opportunities and to financial planning workshops hosted by the college’s financial aid office and our financial services partners.
