Local African American Leaders To Speak At Morehouse In Support Of Epa’s Clean Power Plan

ATLANTA, GA — Local African American leaders will hold a press conference and rally in support of the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Clean Power Plan, which sets the first ever federal limits on carbon pollution from existing power plants. The event coincides with an EPA hearing being held in Atlanta on the Federal Implementation Plan, a good backstop for states that do not create their own implementation plans to cut dangerous carbon pollution and protect public health.

The sudden passing of Hank Williams is a jarring reminder of how fragile we are.  The world just lost a major force for good in the cause of diversifying the innovation economy. Morehouse College lost a great partner and friend, too.  As we extend our sympathy and support to his family, we vow to collaborate with others to carry on his important work.
