Ben Green, vice president of Teamstudio, has been named chair of Midlands Education and Business Alliance’s Board of Directors. Green succeeds John Barnes, who served as chair since 2011.
Green is no stranger to MEBA, nor its mission of strengthening the connection between education and business. His involvement with MEBA began six years ago when Jim Reynolds, long-time champion of MEBA and past board chair, asked him to present to a group of teachers and school counselors on economic development activities in South Carolina. Green, then a project manager with the South Carolina Department of Commerce’s Global Business Development Division, agreed, immediately understanding the value of bringing education and business together, facilitating a positive exchange of information and resources and partnering to improve student outcomes and promote economic development.
