Tremaine McGregor ’09 - Today was the day that I embarked on a journey that could potentially change my life by the time I return. After just graduating from Morehouse College yesterday, and officially completing my induction into the distinguished and illustrious club of Morehouse Men, I have begun what I can describe as my personal senior trip...I felt very appreciative and fortunate to be able to take part in such an amazing program. I consider myself to be a very open individual and I will try many new things if presented to me, but I guess I still have preconceived notions of the unknown, no matter how enthused I am about learning more about it. As far as South Africa and I suppose most of Africa, I believed that because I had learned about their less-developed economy in the courses International Ethical Leadership and the Crisis of North-South Global Relations, I had imagined desperation and despair to be much more prevalent amongst the inhabitants of the country.
