The Department of Modern Foreign Languages at Morehouse College has partnered with the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Washington D.C to host a series of events highlighting the contributions of black men and women in Germany.

Do you want to practice Spanish conversation in a relaxed setting?  Join the Spanish Table in Chivers Dining Hall! Spanish speakers of all levels are welcome.  From 12-1, Spanish professors will have lunch near the pizza area on the following Fridays . . .

Carnival Celebrations 

Tuesday, February 13 at 9:00am 

Join the Department of Modern Foreign Languages as we learn about Carnival celebrations in Ecuador, Brazil and Germany. New Orleans style king cake and fruit will be served.

Wednesday 10/4– National Teach German Day - Join us as we go to the Barack and Michelle Obama Academy and share German candy and drinks with the students.  
Thursday 10/5 – The German Club will host its Annual Oktoberfest in the Kilgore Plaza at 1:00pm. Free Brats and Fanta!
Friday 10/6 – Kaffee und Kuchen – Visit the Department of Modern Foreign Languages for German coffee and cake @ 2:00 in Brawley 307.

There, we will engage with panelists to learn about their experiences as an Afro-Latino & Caribbean and the invisibility that a lot of African descended people face in their own cultures.
