The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra's 20th Annual "A King Celebration" Concert
ASO Music Director Robert Spano leads the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and the Morehouse and Spelman College glee clubs. Special guest will be world-renowned cellist, Yo-Yo Ma.

Community-wide Multi-Faith Worship Service
Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Jewish and Muslim representatives commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. '48 in a special worship service. Annual candlelight vigil takes place immediately following on the plaza near the King statue.

Bonner Office of Community Service's Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service
"Remaining Awake While Rediscovering Common Values"
Students participate in interfaith cooperation through community service at various sites around Atlanta. Afterwards, students and mentors hold a dialogue sponsored by the Bonner Office of Community Service, the
Martin Luther King Jr. International Chapel and MedShare.

The Morehouse College Martin Luther King Jr. Collection Tutorial on Research Using the Collection
Courtney Chartier, assistant head of the Archives Research Center, will give a tutorial on the digitized, 13,000-piece Collection, which includes sermons, speeches, correspondence and other writings by King. This tutorial workshop will be offered again on Tuesday, January 24, at 11 a.m. in the same location. RSVP is required for the tutorial workshop. Call (404) 978-2052 or email archives@auctr.edu.

Men of Morehouse and the King Legacy Scholars will discuss and explore key themes that will influence
their lives. The discussion focuses on selected sermons and speeches by Dr. King in the book, A Testament of Hope: The Essential Writings and Speeches of Martin Luther King Jr.

Atlanta University Center students present music, drama, dance and spoken word in King's honor.

Film Screening and Dialogue "Crossing in St. Augustine"
Following the screening of the documentary, President Robert M. Franklin '75 and Ambassador Andrew Young discuss the film—which chronicles one of the most important chapters in civil rights history—and address contemporary issues that continue to persist.
