Compton Mentor Fellowships
Submission Process at Morehouse College
Proposals are only submitted to the Compton Foundation via the Morehouse College nomination committee. The submission deadline is Monday, January 3, 2011 to Dr. Blumer at email@example.com. See Creating Strong Applications for tips on preparing your fellowship application.
Morehouse selection committee consists of the Environmental Studies Faculty and Dr. Anne Watts. This committee will meet during the week of January 10 to evaluate applications and interview applicants. Each applicant will be interviewed by the Morehouse selection committee (30 minutes) as part of the application evaluation process. The Morehouse selection committee will choose the two that are most promising applicants by Friday, January 14, 2011.
The chosen two will revise their proposals (with comments from the committee) to prepare submission ready applications to be submitted to Dr. Blumer, as a single pdf document e-mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org, no later than Monday, February 8, 2011. The application packets of our nominees must be received by the Compton Mentor Fellowship program office by Friday, February 11, 2011.
Practice interviews with committee members will be conducted between February 14 and March 11, 2011.
The Compton Foundation will conduct formal interviews with all nominees in San Francisco on Saturday, March 19, 2011. Nominees must be prepared to travel to San Francisco on Friday, March 18 and will return to Atlanta on Sunday, March 20. The interview trip to California will be arranged and paid by the Compton Foundation.
