**The Robert. W. Woodruff Library of the Atlanta University Center prepares collection for scholarly access

Atlanta-October 5, 2006– The coveted collection of some of Martin Luther King Jr.’s most famous writings are finally back in Atlanta -- for good! After several weeks of anticipation, the 10,000-piece collection is home and being prepared for exhibit.

Join us on October 9th at 10:00 a.m. in the lobby of the Martin Luther King Jr. International Chapel on the campus of Morehouse College to learn more about the future of the Morehouse College Martin Luther King Jr. Collection, when it will be exhibited and how the public can view the collection.

A question and answer session will follow.


Media Logistics:
Arrival: Suggested arrival time for working media is 9:30 a.m.

Parking: Parking for media will be available along the curbside of Lee Lane, located across from the Martin Luther King Jr. International Chapel.

Video/Still Photography: Morehouse College will provide a photo disc of the collection arriving in Atlanta. These photos will be Jpeg images, at least 300 dpi, and may be published. Please give photo credit to Ron Witherspoon Photography.

Broadcast Media: Photographers wishing to get a clean audio feed may plug into the mult box stationed near the rear of the venue.

Pool Video: Morehouse College will provide b-roll of the collection arriving in Atlanta and the unloading of the boxes.
