Ethical Leadership Conference

ATLANTA, September 12, 2005-- The Leadership Center at Morehouse College presents its first annual leadership conference November 4-6, 2005. The conference, titled Ethical Leadership: At the Intersection Where Worlds Collide, will address the complex ethical issues and challenges of today’s society. The conference will take place on the campus of Morehouse College in the new Leadership Center facility located on the corner of Westview Drive and West End Avenue.

The focus of the conference will be to examine the critical resources and methodologies at our disposal to develop a new generation of emerging leaders who are physically and emotionally whole, spiritually disciplined, intellectually astute, and morally-anchored to demonstrate character, civility, and community in local, national, and international settings.

Who: Some of the nation’s leading experts on leadership. They include:

· Lani Guinier, Harvard Law professor;
· Tavis Smiley, Host of the Tavis Smiley Show on PBS;
· Walter E. Fluker, Coca Cola Professor of Leadership Studies and Executive Director of the Leadership Center at Morehouse College;
· David Gergen, professor of public service at Harvard's John F. Kennedy School of Government and director of its Center for Public Leadership;
· Walter E. Massey, president Morehouse College
· David Satcher, interim president Morehouse School of Medicine and former U.S. Surgeon General;
