Morehouse College Dedicates Biochemistry Laboratory
ATLANTA, February 16, 2005— On Friday, February 18, Morehouse will celebrate a significant gift from the W.M. Keck Foundation. Early last year, the W.M. Keck Foundation awarded Morehouse a $400,000 gift to enhance the chemistry and biochemistry laboratories at the college. The laboratory enhancement project is a major component of the chemistry department’s comprehensive plan that will graduate an increased number of scientific leaders in the 21st century. Already, Morehouse ranks among the highest undergraduate schools in sending graduates to the top medical schools nationwide.

The dedication and unveiling of the new Biochemistry Lab will take place during the celebration of Morehouse’s 138th Founder’s Day observance.
