Morehouse College Glee Club to Give Free Concert at Friendship Baptist Church
The world-renowned Morehouse College Glee Club will bring their soaring voices to Atlanta’s Friendship Baptist Church for a free concert on Nov. 15 at 4 p.m.
Performing with the Glee Club will be one of its former members, the Rev. Timothy Tee Boddie ‘81, pastor of Friendship Baptist Church.
Nearly 100 years old, the Glee Club has performed all over the world—including Poland, Bermuda, the Bahamas and South Africa--with a variety of classical, folk music and spiritual selections. Notable performances include the 1993 Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Celebration with Jessye Norman and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra; the national anthem for Super Bowl XXVIII with Natalie Cole; and the Opening and Closing Ceremony for the 1996 Summer Olympic Games.
