Leadership Center Construction Update
Construction on the Leadership Center is quickly progressing. The fourth floor slab has been poured, which means all of the floors have now been poured. Framing of the exterior walls has been completed on the first, second and third floors. Exterior framing of the fourth floor began the first week in November. The interior framing is finished on the first and second floors, and began on the third and fourth floors during the week of Nov. 1. The construction crew has finished the rough-in of the plumbing, sprinkler, HVAC, and electrical systems on the first floor. On the second floor, HVAC and electrical rough was completed on Nov. 5. The roof's steel structure also was completed. In the construction industry, this is called "topping out," and is celebrated by the crew. Application of the brick veneer to the building's exterior will continue until expected completion of the building in spring 2005.
