So much for predictions.
The 2010 Morehouse Maroon Tigers football team ignored a pre-season predicted fifth-place finish in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference to go 8-3 and make the school’s first-ever appearance in the NCAA Division II playoffs.
“Coming into the fall, I felt real good about the season,” said head coach Rich Freeman. “I knew we would have a contender and that was evident.”

For the second consecutive year, the Flying Maroon Tigers cross-country team claimed the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference title.
The Maroon Tigers won their 15th conference championship in the last 16 years on the strength of four top 10 runners during the meet held at the Clayton County International Park on Nov. 5.
