LaKetha Hudson
As the project coordinator for the Leadership Center at Morehouse College, Ms. Hudson joined the staff in 2003 providing support for the Howard Thurman Papers Project. In this role, she assisted the associate editor in researching and archiving over 58,000 documents relating to the work and accomplishments of Howard Thurman.
In 2004, she moved into the arena of program management providing creative, results-oriented event and project coordination. With over 25 years of experience in event planning and program management, her track record of success in promotion and coordination has consistently resulted in highly successful outcomes.
Her primary focus is the management of multiple local, national and international programs which includes developing and implementing all internal and external logistics and marketing strategies as well as the recruitment and supervision of staff. These programs include the highly successful Coca-Cola Pre-College Leadership Program for high school students and the African President-in-Residence. Her responsibilities include maintaining database of alumni, students, business leaders and community volunteers, providing status reports for all programs and serving as liaison between internal departments in the resolution of day-to-day administrative and operational concerns.
Ms. Hudson is an exceptionally motivated self-starter and creative problem-solver who works hard and loves a challenge. She works well with all constituencies bringing a high level of professionalism and passion to each undertaking.
Prior to coming to Morehouse, she served as a career counselor and information specialist for the Boston Private Industry Council and trained contracted service providers on the Georgia Managed Care concept and procedure. She holds a degree from Bauder College in Miami, Florida.
