About Us/Our Mission

The Annie E. Casey Foundation

For more than half a century, the Annie E. Casey Foundation has worked to build better futures for disadvantaged children and their families in the United States. Their mission is to foster public policies, improved human services, and community supports that effectively meet the needs of today's vulnerable children and families. In pursuit of this goal, the Foundation makes grants, funds demonstrations, provides services, delivers technical assistance and disseminates data and analyses -- all aimed at helping states, cities, and neighborhoods do a better, more cost-effective job of supporting children and families. The Faith Communities and Urban Families Project is the second Leadership Center research endeavor supported by the Foundation. In 2000, Casey provided support to the Center's Faith-Based Family Support Initiatives Roundtable Series.
