Faith Communities & Urban Families Project
The project examined the relationship between low-income families and churches in their neighborhoods in four cities—Indianapolis, Denver, Camden, New Jersey and Hartford, Connecticut. Funded by a grant from the Annie E. Casey Foundation, the project gathered and analyzed survey, ethnographic and environmental data from the two groups and developed plans for strengthening interactions between faith communities and the urban poor.
