The Morehouse College Entrepreneurship Center (MCEC) was established in 2004 under the Division of Business Administration & Economics to provide external support to the community.
The mission of the Morehouse College Entrepreneurship Center is to assist in the development of minority entrepreneurship through training, scholarly research, and consultative services and to provide students with entrepreneurial experiential learning experiences. The Center currently has two major initiatives: The Mentor Protégé Program under the government services unit and the Pequot Training Program under the commercial services unit.
The goals are to:
(1) assist small business in growing through training, workshops, seminars and procurement
(2) provide research and advisory services to small businesses
(3) expose and motivate students to consider entrepreneurship as a career choice
