Academics
At present there is only one entrepreneurship class that is offered. This class Entrepreneurship (HBU 453) is a three (3) credit hours elective offered every semester to business majors. The objective of this course is to expose students to the entrepreneurial process from conception of new ideas and opportunities for starting a new business to operating a business and growing and sustaining a business. This course exposes students to the attributes of entrepreneurs, techniques for searching for opportunities, and gathering resources to convert opportunities into businesses and introduces business concepts for developing viable sustainable small businesses. By the end of the semester students are expected to write a business plan for a new venture.

The MCEC YES Camp inspires and encourages young people to consider entrepreneurship as a career choice. This camp is hosted at MCEC and facilitated by Youth Entrepreneurs™ of Atlanta (YE-Atl) incorporating curriculum developed by The National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE).
