Mentor Protégé Program

The primary focus of business for the initial offerings of the MCEC is the Department of Defense (DoD) Mentor Protégé Program. The DoD Mentor-Protégé Program (MPP) assists small businesses (protégés) to successfully compete for prime contract and subcontract awards by partnering with large companies (Mentors). These two groups create project-based agreements and the MCEC serves as a third party service provider of organizational infrastructure training in the following areas:

MCEC has over 20 projects with 8 different mentors serving over 16 protégé companies. We develop long term strategic partnership relations with all these companies in many different ways, such as, recruitment of our students, internships, scholarships and finding ways to bring practical business experiences into the classroom. Since inception this program has generated over $3.5 million in contract revenue.
