International Student Services and Study Abroad Program

STUDY ABROAD

"Students who have been reared in the United States must travel to other countries in order to experience the essential 'decentering' that comes from leaving home and looking back to assess and understand ones origins. As the planet grows smaller and its citizens become more interdependent, it is more important than ever for each of us to develop broad perspectives, skills and leadership that consider the population of the entire globe: this is the making of the global citizen."

-Dr. Robert M. Franklin '75, President of Morehouse College

Morehouse students are encouraged to study abroad. An international experience as part of the Morehouse tenure is viewed as one of the best investments a student can make. To facilitate students studying abroad, the College offers over 200 study abroad programs. Each year approximately 250 Men of Morehouse travel abroad.

In order to participate in these travel opportunities, students must meet the following requirements:

  • Complete thirty Morehouse semester hours.
