We are pleased that you have made Morehouse your college of choice, and welcome you to the Morehouse family. The Office of International Student Services and Study Abroad Programs (OISSAP) serves as the main resource for international students. The OISSAP also assists in facilitating the transition of international students to the United States and Morehouse College, as well as providing services and other programming that meets the special needs of international students.
Each semester a special orientation session is held by the OISSAP for new international students, providing information on maintenance of status, employment, travel, taxes, and other immigration and benefit issues.
International students are encouraged to visit the international office to keep abreast of important college and immigration information. International students are also encouraged to join the International Student Organization, which supports social activities for international students.
Information on maintenance of your immigration status is contained on this section of the webpage. Please be sure to check with the international student advisor before beginning employment or enrolling in less than twelve hours per semester. The international student advisor (Mrs. Gwen Wade) is located in the Leadership Center, room 322. You may reach her by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by telephone at 404.215.2728.
