Campus Life

Living at Morehouse

Residence Hall living is an exercise in community living that provides students with opportunities for communal study, shared responsibility, cooperative and congenial living, self-management, and group cohesiveness. For the exercise to be effective, residents must treat each other with mutual respect, support, trust and interdependence, recognizing the strengths and limitations of others.

The Office of Housing and Residential Life is responsible for creating student residence environments that support the mission of Morehouse and create an atmosphere that stimulates growth, encourages individual responsibility in decision-making, and provides for the acceptance of others as persons of worth. The office encourages the development of appropriate attitudes and conduct to allow for a communal academic environment. Educational programs are designed to inform students and allow for mutual respect for individual differences.
