March 14, 2009 – HOUSTON, TX – Morehouse finished in the 22nd position at the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships, held this weekend in Houston.

Morehouse scoring came from a third-place finish by the 4x400-meter relay team and an eighth-place finish by Damian Prince in the 200-meter dash.

Prince clocked in at 21.77 in the 200, which was won by Josh Scott, of St. Augustine’s College, the overall winner of the D2 championship. Prince, a senior physical education major, qualified for the finals of the 400-meter run, but false started and was disqualified from his best indoor event.

The Morehouse 4x400 team of Chevon Cunningham, Ian Derizzio, Damian Prince and Jeremy Tinsley sprinted the 1600-meter race in a time of 3:15.80.
