April 16, 2008 – TUSCALOOSA, AL – Morehouse tennis players Tory Martin and Ben Seagle were named to the 2008 SIAC All-Conference team and Joshua Harris and Kadir Carruthers earned berths on the SIAC All-Academic team for their high level of play and grade point averages.

Conference officials announced the awards today, at the annual banquet that precedes the start of the SIAC Spring Sports Championships, being held in Tuscaloosa, AL, this weekend.

Voted by SIAC tennis coaches, Martin and Seagle earned the first-team honors as a doubles team and second-team honors as singles players.

Martin, a 6’-3” freshman from Atlanta, and Seagle, a 5’-8” sophomore from Los Angeles, had stellar seasons, losing only once in conference play.

Harris, a junior, political science major, is from Thomasville, GA and boasts a 4.0 g.p.a.

Carruthers, a junior biology major from Sebring, FL, carries a 3.54 g.p.a.
