April 18, 2007 –TUSCALOOSA, AL – Senior Terrell Olagbegi was named the 2007 Player of the Year in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, conference officials announced today.

The announcement of Olagbegi as the conference’s top player came at the annual SIAC Spring Sports Championships banquet that preceded the end-of-year tournaments in tennis, baseball and track and field.

Olagbegi, a religion major from Atlanta’s West Lake High School, amassed an undefeated 8-0 record in conference singles matches and a near-perfect 7-1 record in doubles.

Olagbegi, who was also named to the All-SIAC first team for the second consecutive year, hopes to become a professional tennis player after graduating in May.
