March 28, 2006 – NORMAL, AL – Maroon Tiger golfers placed third in the eight-team Alabama A&M Golf Classic played March 27and 28.

Five Morehouse golfers finished with a two-day total of 629 strokes on the par 72 course, which covers 6,854 yards.

Steven Wooten led the way for the Maroon Tigers. The 5’-11” sophomore from New Paltz, NY recorded a team-low 151 (79-72) strokes through 36 holes.

Wooten’s score was third lowest among all golfers, behind Jon Lehman (149) of Savannah State and Dustin Thompson (146) whose Southern University team won the overall tournament.

Sophomore Edward Hills III finished fourth overall with a 36-hole score of 76 76 152.
