October 22, 2009 -- JONESBORO, GA -- For the second straight year, it came down to a sprint between Morehouse and Benedict, but this year, unlike last, the Flying Maroon Tigers prevailed, reclaiming the SIAC cross country championship for the 14th time in 15 years.

Five Morehouse runners finished in the top 10 and were named to the All-SIAC team.

Head coach Willie H. Hill was named SIAC Coach of the Year.
