September 20, 2008 – HUNTSVILLE, AL – Noble Swint set the pace for the Maroon Tigers in the Fleet Feet Sports/Earl Jacoby Memorial Cross Country Invitational.
Morehouse captured fifth-place in the ten-team event, hosted by the University of Alabama-Huntsville. UA-H finished first in its home meet, followed by Evansville, Austin Peay and Valdosta State. Morehouse finished ahead of Lincoln Memorial, North Alabama, Georgia College, Carson Newman and Tuskegee, in that order.
Swint finished the 8K race first for Morehouse and 11th overall, in a time of 27:27.6.
He was followed closely by teammate Abraham Kiprotich who took second for the Maroon Tigers and 12th overall, in a time of 27:24.8.
Michael Vinson took third for Morehouse and 33rd overall, with a time of 28:49.9.
Dreyfus Clemons captured 48th overall and fourth for the ’House, in a time of 30:11.8.
Sammy Tarus grabbed 5th for Morehouse and 53rd overall, in a time of 31:00.02.
Though only the first five runners count, Tony Reynolds took sixth for Morehouse and 58th overall, in a time of 33:30.6.
