Doug Augusta has been a member of the basketball coaching staff since the 2000 season. His primary areas of responsibility are recruitment and strength and conditioning. Augusta rounds out Coach Brewer’s triumvirate of assistants. His presence on the Maroon Tiger staff was invaluable in the team’s drive to its two recent visitation titles.

After earning all-star honors at South Plantation High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Augusta attended Broward Community College North at Pompano Beach where he was one of the top point guards in the conference. Coach Augusta is married to the former Barnetta Turner.
