March 20, 2009 – ATLANTA – Morehouse center Kenney Boyd has been selected as one of the 20 best Division II basketball players in the nation and will play in the annual Hall of Fame All-Star Classic, Friday.
Played at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, in Springfield, Mass., the birthplace of basketball, the all-star game will showcase the talents of the best D2 players in the U.S., as voted by the National Association of Basketball Coaches.
Boyd, a senior from Meridian, MS was voted the 2009 SIAC Player of the Year and was the only conference player named to the prestigious lineup. In the 2008-09 season, the 6’-8” 260-pound sports medicine major led Morehouse in scoring, rebounds, assists and minutes played.
