March 2, 2009 – ATLANTA – Morehouse will play Clark Atlanta for the third time this season – this time for high stakes.

The arch rivals and next-door neighbors will square off in the first round of the SIAC basketball tournament, Thursday, at noon, at Fair Park Arena, in Birmingham.

Morehouse, the number 11 seed, and CAU, the number 6 seed, split the 2008-09 regular season series, with each team winning its home game.

The winner will advance to play the Lane College Dragons, the number 3 seed, which drew a first-round bye, on Friday, at 2 p.m.

The last Morehouse SIAC tournament championship was in 2003. CAU last won the SIAC crown in 1965, when it was still Clark College.
