November 27, 2007 – ORANGEBURG, SC – Cold shooting and the turnover bug bit the Maroon Tigers with both fangs and Morehouse fell to
Claflin 51-45.
The loss was the first of the season for Morehouse, which fell to 3-1.
The Maroon Tigers shot 32 percent from the field and 55 percent from the free-throw line, on the way to losing the first road game of the season.
Senior forward Jason Reese led the Maroon Tigers in scoring with 14 points, to go with seven rebounds, five steals and four assists.
Center Kenney Boyd scored his second double-double of the season, with 12 points and 11 rebounds. No other Maroon Tiger scored in double figures.
Morehouse, which beat this same team at home 75-61 last Tuesday, turned the ball over 30 times.
Claflin improved to 3-1.
Morehouse will get its first taste of conference action, Saturday, at 3 p.m., against Stillman College at Forbes Arena.
