April 6, 2008 – ATLANTA – Morehouse surrendered 10 unearned runs in two games and lost a doubleheader to Claflin University, in games moved from Saturday to Sunday because of the rain.
Claflin won the first game, 6-5, and the second game, 12-3.

In game one, pitcher Hank McCladdie went the distance, giving up three earned runs on seven hits. The junior from Augusta struck out seven and walked three.
Morehouse jumped out to an early lead with a run in the second, on a single and stolen base by outfielder Dunte Artis and an RBI single by shortstop Jarrell James. Claflin responded with two runs in the top of the fourth inning.

Outfielder Michael Young drove in Woolfolk, with a single and the Maroon Tigers enjoyed a 4-2 lead.
Claflin bounced back in the fifth inning, with three runs on two Morehouse errors and a home run by first baseman Platts, to take a 5-4 lead. The Panthers from Orangeburg, SC got an insurance run in the sixth inning, on a home run by shortstop Carpenter that put them up by two runs.
In the seventh inning, utility infielder Jason Mills led off with a pinch hit home run that cut the lead to one, but reliever Jordan closed the door on the Maroon Tigers to preserve the win for the visitors.
In game two, Claflin scored early and often, putting up five runs in the first inning and four runs in the second inning, to put the game out of reach.
Only five of the Panther’s 12 runs were earned, as the Maroon Tigers committed four errors.

Josh Wright, Adam's twin brother, was the only Maroon Tiger in either game to have more than one hit. Wright went 3-of-6 and drove in two runs, on the day.
