April 18, 2007 – TUSCALOOSA, AL – As talented in the classroom as he is behind home plate, catcher Ralph Woolfolk was named to the 2007 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference All-Academic Team, conference officials announced today.

Woolfolk, a junior English major from Atlanta, carries a 3.7 gpa.

An all-around player and team leader, Woolfolk was excellent at handling pitchers and inspiring teammates.

His .287 batting average in 31 games was the team’s second best among starters and his .973 fielding percentage was first in the demanding role behind the plate.
