Thank you for inquiring about the campus tours at Morehouse College. Welcome to the House, where since 1867 we have a long tradition of preparing young men to be exemplary models of leadership, manhood, and citizenship. To help maximize your visit, the information below will aid you in making reservations for a campus tour.
CAMPUS VISIT INFORMATION:Tours are conducted Monday – Friday ONLY with the exception of Holidays, Testing periods, and other times the College is closed. Click here to book your appointment.

Tour Duration/Content
Tours are scheduled to last no longer than one (1) hour.
- First 15 minutes - Brief history, admission requirements & current costs (if applicable to visitors), and preliminary questions & answers period;
- 30 minutes - walking tour of the campus with few stops;
- Last 15 minutes - answering of additional questions and escort to the Campus Bookstore.
Tour Guides
Tours are conducted by the Morehouse College Student Ambassadors commonly known as S.T.R.I.P.E.S. (Students Tigers Recruiting Interested Persons for Enrollment Stability). Ambassadors are trained on the College’s history and Admissions requirements and are equipped to represent the College and answer most questions posed to them by visitors that cover a multitude of topics.
Walk-ins
Guided tours will be granted to prospective students that walk-in only during designated tour times and will be contingent upon the availability of student ambassadors. Otherwise, visitors/groups without a scheduled visit will be provided a Visitors Guide for a self-guided tour.
VISIT TYPES:
Guided Walking Tour
Consists of an information session and walking tour of the exterior buildings of the college campus conducted by a Student Ambassador or Admissions Representative. The only interior building that is toured is the historic Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. International Chapel.
Note: Guided Tours are subject to change by the Office of Admissions without prior notice. However, to ensure your visit with us is pleasurable, every attempt will be made to accommodate requests.
Self-Guided Tour (SGT)
Consists of a walking tour of the exterior buildings of the college campus only. Visitors MUST sign-in at the Office of Admissions and will be given a Campus Visitors Guide, which provides information on the buildings and memorials. SGT’s are generally scheduled during blackout periods or when an official Student Ambassador or Admissions Representative is unavailable.

Information Session
Consists of an overview of the campus, campus life, standard admission requirements and a Q & A Session.
SCHEDULING:
Individual/Family
A party the size between 1-9 persons, where at least one individual is a prospective student (current high school student)
- Days Available: Monday - Friday
- Times Available: 10 am/11am / 2pm / 3pm
- Advance Notification: A campus visit should be requested at least 72 hours prior to requested date of visit
- Confirmation: Visit requests will be reviewed and communicated by the close of the following business day of initial contact. A confirmation will also be sent at that time after all arrangements have been confirmed.
- Late Policy: Every effort will be made to accommodate parties that arrive late, as long as prior communication is made. Otherwise, visitors will be provided a Visitors Guide for a self-guided tour. Please see arrival instructions below for further details.
Group
A party the size of 10+ persons of all age ranges
- Days Available: Monday - Friday
- Times Available: 11am / 2pm (Thursdays @ 10 am and 2 pm)
- Advance Notification: A campus visit should be requested at least 2 weeks prior to requested date of visit to receive a Guided Tour
- Confirmation: Visit requests will be reviewed and communicated no later than the close of the following business day of initial contact. A confirmation will also be sent within 72 hours after all arrangements have been confirmed.
- Late Policy: If group is 15+ minutes late without prior contact, tour will be cancelled; if 15 minutes late with advance notification, an Information Session & Self-Guided Tour will be granted; if 30 minutes late, a group will be allowed a Self-Guided Tour only. BLACK-OUT PERIOD:
During Black-Out Periods NO GUIDED TOURS/INFORMATION SESSIONS will be given. The general time periods include, but are not limited to:
- Testing: Midterm Exams, Final Exams, Reading Period
- Holidays: all holidays in which the College is closed
- Months: December and May
- Other: New Student Orientation through Labor Day Holiday

FEMALE VISITORS:
Please note that female participants, other than group chaperones, WILL NOT be permitted to tour the Morehouse College campus. Prior arrangements should be coordinated with Spelman College. The only exceptions are in cases where female family member(s) are escorting a prospective male participant.
ARRIVAL INSTRUCTIONS:
Individual/Family
Visitors are asked to arrive at least (10) minutes prior to scheduled time. Upon arrival to the campus, please report to the Morehouse College Visitors Center, located at the lower level of the Morehouse College Parking Deck. For the benefit of all visitors and in consideration of demanding time schedules, information sessions will begin at the scheduled time. To avoid forfeiture of scheduled tour time, please notify the Office of Admissions at (404) 215-2632 at early signs of late arrival.
Group:
Visitors are asked to arrive at least (10) minutes prior to scheduled time. The options are: an information session and Visitor’s Guide for a Self-Guided Tour or rescheduling of tour. Guided walking tours are subject to forfeiture for late groups.

INCLEMENT WEATHER:
Walking tours WILL NOT be conducted in the case of inclement weather. This is to protect the safety and welfare of all tour participants. Tour status will be updated at the scheduled time of tour. Information Sessions will be conducted for all visitors during this time.
TRANSPORTATION/PARKING:
Cars & Vans: General parking is available in the Morehouse College Parking deck for a nominal fee.
Buses: Unloading of passengers should take place in front of the Morehouse College Leadership Center at the corner of West End Ave. and Westview Drive. PLEASE BE ADVISED BUSES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO DRIVE ON CAMPUS.

MODIFICATIONS/CANCELLATIONS/RESCHEDULING:
If the information previously given needs to be modified or is
incorrect, changes should be communicated immediately so that
adjustments can be made and a revised confirmation will be sent.
If there is a request to cancel or reschedule a confirmed tour,
