Submitting a Proposal
- Principal
Investigator (P.I.) sends Intent to Submit Form to OSP,
with the appropriate signatures of their Department
Head and Dean.
P.I. waits for OSP’s approval before writing
the proposal.
- P.I. initiates
and writes proposal. OSP will help if needed.
- P.I. sends
proposal to Department Head and Dean for approval, and
secures their signatures on the Morehouse College Proposal
Transmittal Form (MCPTF)
- P.I. sends
proposal for review to OSP, at least 7 – 10 days
before the proposal due date, along with the MCPTF.
OSP sends a copy of the proposal to the Director
of Special Projects for budget approval. If additional
facilities are required, OSP will forward to the VP of
Operations for approval. If a letter is needed from the
President, OSP will also forward a draft letter (prepared
by P.I.) to Correspondence Secretary in the Office of
the President.
- OSP returns
proposal to P.I. with suggested comments. (within 2 days)
- Changes made
by P.I., if any.
- P.I. returns
proposal to OSP for final review and submission to VP
for Institutional Advancement, Senior VP for Academic
Affairs, and VP for Business and Finance for signatures
on MCPTF.
- After appropriate
signatures are affixed to proposal and MCTPF, OSP will
make the necessary copies and mail to agency. (If large
proposal [over 30 pages] department budget code would
be needed for copies and mailing)
- Proposal
successfully mailed to Agency.
