Title: Transportation Coordinator

Job Duties: Under general supervision, performs a variety of duties in handling and organizing transportation for various auxiliaries and departments at Morehouse College, including transportation of equipment, supplies, and personnel.
- Inspects exterior and interior of vehicle at beginning of each shift for properly operating headlights, turn signals, brake lights, interior courtesy lamps, air-conditioning or heating, warning lamps, mirror adjustment, properly inflated tires, windshield wipers, vehicle damage, etc. prior to moving vehicle.
- Other duties will also include overseeing fleet maintenance by monitoring the condition of the vehicles.
- Assist Logistics supervisor with maintaining authorized drivers roster and required licenses. Assures everyone is on compliance.
- Maintain approved drivers records and fleet maintenance repair records.
- Assist with purchasing vehicle emissions and tag renewals.
- Maintaining automotive license and fee records.
- Oversee Logistics staff in the absence of the supervisor.
- Keeps electronic reports on licensed staff, accident reports, insurance documents, mileage records, and route schedules.
- Provides regular feed back to the Logistics supervisor and Physical Plant Director with problems or concerns relating to assignments, routes, vehicle maintenance, and employee performance.
- Ensure inside and outside of vehicles are properly cleaned and fueled at all times.
- Maintain mileage records
- Assist with other duties as assigned by the Logistics Supervisor.
Job Qualifications: Must have valid Georgia driver’s license, and be able to present clean driving record. Minimum 3 years driving history; good oral and written communications skills, computer skills, basic knowledge of MS Office Word & Excel; ability to operate a GPS system. Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age. Must be able to safely and efficiently operate a passenger van.

Job Description: This position will serve as the primary administrative support for the Office of the President. This position is expected to provide a wide range of complex office technical, clerical, and professional administrative services and duties in a confidential manner. This position involves extensive contact by telephone, e-mail, and in person with the President, Board of Trustees, and high-level external constituents. The candidate should be able to exercise independent judgment and initiative in meeting the needs of the Office of the President. The candidate must be able to work under tight deadlines; have excellent written and verbal communication skills; have the ability to communicate clearly and concisely; manage communication and work through electronic media; and be able to develop and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with a wide range of College constituents.
Accountabilities
This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Superior Customer Service
- Handling all incoming calls on the front desk
- Preparation of expense reports at trip completion.
- Development PowerPoint presentations for executive presentations.
- Cost center management, including G & A budgets.
- Accounts payable activity.
- Preparation of invoices for payment, and monitoring of payments
- Budgeting activity includes month end reconciliation and working with VP, Directors, and Managers to complete journal entries for period end accruals, variance and forecast explanations for each accounting period and maintaining the budget information.
- Prepare internal and external meeting arrangements to include locations and other special arrangements, when required

Qualifications
- A minimum of an Associate’s degree from an accredited college/university or business or secretarial school training. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Equivalent to at least five (5) years of increasingly responsible office/clerical and administrative support experience for senior executive level or a combination or equivalent education, experience, and training.
- Excellent writing and computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to effectively operate modern office equipment.
- This position must show a great deal of initiative and exercise good judgment and have positive customer service attributes.
- Candidate with knowledge and experience in high level office, particularly in a college or university environment.
- A high degree of proficiency using Microsoft Outlook.
- Proven ability to manage invoice processing activities and/or accounting activities.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality.

Job Duties: Responsible for the academic monitoring and advisement of approximately 1000 currently enrolled students and the resolution of student academic concerns, to include:
- Course registration.
- Advisement of course sequences to fulfill the general education core requirements.
- Evaluation of courses taken at other institutions used to fulfill graduation requirements.
- Development, maintenance, and instruction on a four year plan of academic study.
- Pre-requisite and co-requisite registration errors and overload scheduling procedures.
- Change of major declarations.
- Assists the office in the administration and maintenance of academic records for assigned students. Including, but not limited to:
- Scheduled purging of information according to the published records retention schedule,
- Routine review of the file for necessary components,
- Yearly audits of student files for necessary posting of transfer credits, credit by examination, and domestic/international exchange credit
- Scheduled audits of student files for the posting of properly assigned majors, and
- Review of transcripts for missing or incomplete grades.
- Insures the timely fulfillment of requests for official and unofficial college transcripts for assigned students.
- Produces verification of enrollment letters for assigned students.
- Fulfills governmental requests for information on students, and assists completion of necessary forms for student participation in governmental programs.
- Supervises Work Study Employees.
- Serves as the primary college contact for students with grade related issues.
- Researches academic record disputes initiated by students in accordance with FERPA guidelines.
- Performs general office duties as necessary.
- Remains on-call during peak event times in Records and Registration that include, but are not limited to New Student Orientation, College Registration periods, midterm grade postings, final grade posting, pre-term advisement, Senior Week advisement, and Commencement events.
- Manages a minimum of two (2) additional functions from the following list:

Education, Experience, Skilled Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (required)
- Minimum of two years relevant experience in a higher education environment
- Working knowledge of Banner SIS strongly preferred
- Knowledge of transfer credit practices and FERPA guidelines
- Knowledge of English, grammar, punctuation, and correspondence forms.
- Knowledge of general office practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of telephone etiquette.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to take accurate messages and keep detailed records.
- Ability to exercise important human relations skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relations with the college or university community, including upset, irate, and/or abusive persons on the telephone or in person.
- Solid organizational skills including the ability to multitask.
- Intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Access Database Management
