FEDERAL DIRECT PARENT (PLUS) LOAN PROCESS/CREDIT CHECK

Parents of undergraduate dependent students can apply for the PLUS Loan online.  The Parent can apply for the credit based loan by completing the electronic application using the parent’s Federal Personal Identification Number (PIN).

Parent borrowers will need a PIN to complete the electronic PLUS process and sign their Master Promissory Note (MPN).  If you do not have a PIN, you will need to request one at:

http://www.pin.ed.gov

Once you complete the electronic application, there will be a credit check to determine the status of your loans immediately (approval or denial).  Click here to apply.

If the PLUS Loan is approved, you will be required to complete an electronic PLUS Loan Master Promissory Note.

In lieu of applying online, the PLUS Loan Application is also available to be printed, completed and submitted to the Office of Financial Aid:  Click here for PLUS Loan Manual Application
