Courses
The Curriculum
The Journalism and Sports Program provides a
foundation in the principles of print journalism.
Core Courses
• Basic news writing
• History and principles of health and
physical education
• Internships
(preferably in sports journalism management)
• Sports reporting class
(available beginning spring 2008)
Co-Curricular Activities
Students will be introduced to experts in the field of
journalism and notable sports figures through a
series of lectures and conferences created by the
program director. Students also will be strongly
encouraged to contribute articles to the Maroon
Tiger, Morehouse’s award-winning, weekly student
newspaper and other publications.
