The Finance concentration in the Morehouse Business Administration program is designed to prepare students for the exciting and lucrative field of financial services. Many of our alumni from finance go on to work in banks, private equity, hedge funds, corporate finance and wealth management. The concentration requires 15 hours of finance courses (5 courses) beyond the business and general education core requirements. Finance concentration students take Advanced Corporate Finance to learn more about finance in corporations, Management of Financial Institutions to learn more about banking, and Investments to learn more about the various securities markets.
Finance students have the opportunity to join the Morehouse Investment Club, a component of the Morehouse Business Association, to participate in experiential activities and to interact with finance professionals. The Morehouse Investment Club has managed its own portfolio for almost 3 decades and members have an opportunity to participate in the strategic investment decisions.
Morehouse Finance students have found employment in all major Wall Street banks (Goldman Sachs, JPMorganChase, Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, BMO, etc.), consulting firms (Bain, McKinsey, Deloitte, etc.), and investment management firms (TIAA-CREF, T.Rowe Price, etc.).
