Education: PH.D. Atlanta University M.A. Atlanta University B.A. Clark College Atlanta Law School Atlanta Real Estate.

Academy Specialization: TRIO Program Administration Clinical Supervision Counselor Education Guidance/Special Education Behavior Modification Programs.

Dr. Byrd has spent the past 30 years directly involved in the field of Education and the past 27 as an Administrator of the Federal TRIO Programs. She joined the administration at Morehouse College in 1990 and since that time has expanded the Morehouse College Federal Trio programs to include 7 different programs. These federal grant were funded by the United States Department of Education for over $5million. She is involved professionally in the counseling and academic concerns of a diverse student population including minority, international, disabled, developmental, and older returning students. She has as also taught Psychology at Clark / Atlanta University.
