Morehouse Hosts More Than 200 Mathematicians From 40 countries at Fourth International Conference

– -- Morehouse College will host the Fourth International Conference on Dynamic Systems and Applications under the auspices of the International Federation for Nonlinear Analysts.

Masilamani Sambandham, professor and chair of the Morehouse College Department of Mathematics, organized the conference. It will take place May 21-24 at Morehouse College and will feature more than 200 presentations by participants from 40 countries including presentations by several Morehouse faculty and plenary lectures by:

  • Jack Hale, Georgia Tech Regents Professor Emeritus and co-founder of Georgia Tech’s Center for Dynamical Systems and Nonlinear Studies
  • G.S. Ladde, Mathematics professor at the University of Texas at Arlington and founder and joint editor of the Journal of Stochastic Analysis and Applications
  • V. Lakshmikantham, Professor and Chair, Department of Mathematical Sciences, Florida Institute of Technology, Melbourne, Florida. Lakshmikantham is the author or co-author of numerous publications on random differential equations
  • N.C. Ghosh, from the S.N. Bose School in India and author of the Study of Turbulent Phenomena and a Comparison of Theoretical Study with the Study Based on Data of Cyclone Occurred in India

The general topics to be discussed at the conference include: Differential Equations, Integral Equations, Integro-Differential Equations, Computational Mathematics and Simulation.

Warfield, the first African-American Rhodes Scholar from an Historically Black College or University.
